NecroMerger Store-O: What Players Put in It When They Reset

This page quotes the wiki on what Store-O keeps across a reset, then lists what individual players wrote in r/NecroMerger about their picks, each with a date and a link, and where they disagree.

I like these games and play them myself. Complete guides are hard to find online, so while playing I collect community experience from Reddit and put this site together—hoping it helps. Thank you.

Quick answer

This page does not recommend a loadout; it shows what players wrote, and they do not all agree. u/Daddy_Robin (2026-09-23, comment pbmdkgb) wrote People generally agree on Lectern 5 and Portal 5.[1] and The 3rd slot is often debated.[1] u/chkntendis (2026-09-23, comment pbm9y6y) wrote The easiest is lectern fridge portal.[1] On Spirit with Split-O, players disagree (see below). In a thread about a level-200 reset, u/Remarkable-Set3503 (2026-08-05, comment p1u6gv4) wrote Store-o... Depends. Golem is good choice. Portal5 or two is also good. Lectern5.[2]

Every pick below is what a named player wrote, with its date. This page does not rank them.

Scope, dates & labels

This page is about one question: what players put in Store-O before a reset in NecroMerger. It uses four r/NecroMerger threads out of the Arctic Shift archive (collected 2026-10-04) and the NecroMerger wiki’s Store-O page (revision 18527, last edited 2026-08-07, read 2026-10-05). Nothing here was tested in the game. Quotes are exact; author, date and link come from the stored archive responses.

The game changes, so every report carries its date. Labels: Community Knowledge what a named player or the player-run wiki wrote; Disputed players disagree; Version-sensitive numbers and options can change with game updates.

What Store-O is, according to the wiki

  • Community Knowledge On what Store-O is, the wiki says: Store-O is the 4th of the robot helpers created by The Inventor.[3]
  • Community Knowledge On unlocking it, the wiki says: Store-O is unlocked by having spent 75,000 Time Shards on inventions in total on the current prestige run.[3]
  • Community Knowledge On slots, the wiki says: By default, he has one available slot to store an item similar to the Crate and Cage. A further 2 more slots can be purchased from The Hacker (see below).[3]
  • Community Knowledge The wiki says: Both upgrades increase storage spaces by 1.[3]
  • Community Knowledge The wiki’s upgrade table lists these two rows: +1 Size | 100 Energy Cube; +1 Size | 500 Gems[3].
  • Community Knowledge The wiki says: when you use the Time Machine, he and any items he contains are unaffected by the prestige reset and can be collected from the Inventor with the items stored in him still present.[3]
  • Community Knowledge The wiki adds: However you will want to take note that these stations will not be able to be upgraded until you re-unlock the station nor be merged into Legendary Minions until the corresponding Feat is completed, with the exception of the Robo Chicken as it has no unlock requirements besides having purchased him from the Surgeon.[3]
  • Community Knowledge On what can be stored, the wiki says: Store-O is able to store items that both the Crate and Cage are able to store, aka both Items and Minions.[3]

Version-sensitive These are wiki statements, not tests by this page.

Community Knowledge In a player thread, u/themoosewhoquilts (2026-09-23, comment pbo12cw) asked can you not take the soul grinder?[1] In the same thread, u/Remarkable-Set3503 (2026-09-24, comment pbqu091) wrote You can't take grinder[1]

Runs before level 100: what players name

Thread “First reset with Store-o” (started 2026-09-23 by u/Tetrisaur)

  • Community Knowledge The poster, u/Tetrisaur (2026-09-23, post 1wodphp), asked: I've upgraded it to have all three spaces - what items do you recommend taking for my max 100 run?[1]
  • Community Knowledge u/Daddy_Robin (2026-09-23, comment pbmdkgb) wrote: People generally agree on Lectern 5 and Portal 5.[1] and The 3rd slot is often debated.[1]
  • Community Knowledge u/chkntendis (2026-09-23, comment pbm9y6y) wrote: The easiest is lectern fridge portal.[1]
  • Community Knowledge u/chkntendis (2026-09-23, comment pbm9y6y) wrote: Just scales up production early on without the rune grinding.[1]
  • Community Knowledge u/Captain_Combustible (2026-09-23, comment pbm6ody) wrote: I think most people do 3 of the following: Lectern, Fridge, Portal, or Spirit (triple split split-o to continuously scale up cravings or damage.)[1]

Thread “I bought a level of each Prestige Rune upgrade, what should I put into Store-o?” (started 2026-09-25)

  • Community Knowledge u/Aggressive_Prize5694 (2026-09-26, comment pc2to7k) wrote: Generally, bringing stuff that save your runes is a good idea. Pre-100 that means things like Portal 5 and Fridge 5 (there are more expensive things post-100).[4]
  • Community Knowledge u/Aggressive_Prize5694 (2026-09-26, comment pc2to7k) wrote: I like Lecturn/Fridge/Portal 5 as it saves runes, solves feats early, provides food-rich minions and gives you access to Banshees, Ghouls and Imps for resource generation.[4]

These are the options named in the quotes; the lists are not identical, and this page does not choose between them.

The third slot

u/Daddy_Robin (2026-09-23, comment pbmdkgb) wrote The 3rd slot is often debated.[1] The table lists the options that commenter names in the same comment; one row is what he says he picked and the others are options he lists. Other players’ lists are in the section above.

Options named in one comment, one row per quote
OptionWho names itWhat they wrote
Fridge 5u/Daddy_Robin (2026-09-23, comment pbmdkgb)Personally, i went with fridge 5 because chance at ghouls and aboms can blast through early levels.[1]
Saucer 1u/Daddy_Robin (2026-09-23, comment pbmdkgb)Other common choices include saucer 1 for early imps and ghouls IF you can deal with the annoyance of RNG.[1]
2nd Portal 5u/Daddy_Robin (2026-09-23, comment pbmdkgb)2nd Portal 5 to have an early archdemon (still gotta unlock it through feats but the rune savings help)[1]
Spirit (with split-o)u/Daddy_Robin (2026-09-23, comment pbmdkgb)Or a Spirit to try and cheese early dmg% with split-o triple splits.[1] In the next lines of that comment: I and many players in their lvl 400+ runs consider this last one a meme through and through.[1]

u/Daddy_Robin (2026-09-23, comment pbmdkgb) also wrote If i had to give a personal recommendation, either do fridge 5 or 2nd portal 5.[1]

In the thread “I bought a level of each Prestige Rune upgrade…” [4], two quoted comments mention a level-5 or maximum Saucer: u/Aggressive_Prize5694 (2026-09-29, comment pct64t1) wrote (I dont recommend a lvl 5 saucer as cosmic runes arent hard to farm and they dont produce useful minions early game but ymmv.)[4] and u/National_Attitude779 (2026-09-29, comment pcsk85z) wrote I think I'll still bring a max saucer.[4]

Spirit with Split-O Disputed

Players disagree on whether this is worth the slots. Both views are quoted below with dates; this page does not choose.

Players who name it as an option

  • Community Knowledge u/chkntendis (2026-09-23, comment pbm9y6y) wrote: You can also take spirits to use split-o for basically infinite dmg and craving scaling. Those are the two main philosophies.[1]
  • Community Knowledge u/Captain_Combustible (2026-09-23, comment pbm6ody) wrote: I think most people do 3 of the following: Lectern, Fridge, Portal, or Spirit (triple split split-o to continuously scale up cravings or damage.)[1]

A comment that lists a damage spirit among several ideas

  • Community Knowledge u/brakeandgo (2026-08-05, comment p1uhnqj) wrote: Mana golem, Fridge, and Damage spirit could be interesting.[2]

Players who argue against it

  • Community Knowledge u/Daddy_Robin (2026-09-23, comment pbmdkgb) wrote Or a Spirit to try and cheese early dmg% with split-o triple splits.[1] and, on the next lines, I and many players in their lvl 400+ runs consider this last one a meme through and through.[1] The gains are marginal and you're A: at the whims of split-o rng and B: forced to use split o.[1]
  • Community Knowledge u/Aggressive_Prize5694 (2026-09-26, comment pc2to7k) wrote: or a lvl 3 Vengeful Spirit (to split-o into extra damage %; i think its too slow IMO)[4]
  • Community Knowledge u/Aggressive_Prize5694 (2026-09-29, comment pct64t1) wrote: your commiting two lair spaces (Spirit and Split-O) for a 25% chance to get half a lvl 3 spirit every three hours.[4]
  • Community Knowledge u/Aggressive_Prize5694 (2026-09-29, comment pct64t1) wrote: I would be shocked if you squeeze even 50% spirit bonus out[4]
  • Community Knowledge u/Uncommented-Code (2026-08-05, comment p1vl4un) wrote: I don't get why people would go for damage spirits.[2]
  • Community Knowledge u/cywang86 (2026-08-05, comment p1vaqks) wrote: Just don't bring spirits this time, as the silver spoon + food multipler would send you flying to level 100 so you get to soul grinders within a few days, not leaving you many chances to split and skip for spirits.[2]
  • Community Knowledge u/Remarkable-Set3503 (2026-08-06, comment p20xi9c) wrote: Spirits was viable option long ago, before rocket and post 100 runs happen. Now it's just wasting place, but somehow this thing survived[2]

Figures players gave

  • Community Knowledge u/Captain_Combustible (2026-09-23, comment pbmbf9z) wrote: It's a 25% chance every 3 hours.[1]
  • Community Knowledge u/Uncommented-Code (2026-08-05, comment p1vl4un) wrote: If you have a recharge time of 4h, it takes about 16h for one triple split to occur, so a bit more than 2% damage per 16 hours if we include duplicate chance.[2]
  • Community Knowledge u/Aggressive_Prize5694 (2026-09-29, comment pcsgjc5) wrote: I did it, I was not that impressed. It ended up being something like +40% extra damage and I think bringing a station would serve you better pre-100.[4] The comment does not name the strategy it refers to.

Two comments (pbmbf9z, pct64t1) give a 25% chance every 3 hours; one (p1vl4un) assumes a 4-hour recharge time. “+40%” is one player’s result from their own run; “2%” is one player’s calculation. This page has not tested any of these figures.

Level-200 reset threads: golems

Two threads are about resets around level 200. “Golem” is used here exactly as the commenters use it; this page does not say which minion it means beyond what the quotes say.

Thread “Lv 200 reset” (started 2026-08-05 by u/Felixxg04)

  • Community Knowledge The poster, u/Felixxg04 (2026-08-05, post 1vg4w9j), asked: And what would be good to take into store-o.[2]

  • Community Knowledge u/cywang86 (2026-08-05, comment p1vaqks) wrote: As for store-o, golems and t2 stations of your choice (double portal isn't a bad choice)[2]

Thread “200 -> 300 reset!” (started 2026-09-14 by u/iburstabean)

  • Community Knowledge The poster, u/iburstabean (2026-09-14, post 1wgj42e), wrote: Store-O has a level 3 mana golem, lectern 5, portal 5 :)[5]
  • Community Knowledge u/Tuntaa (2026-09-15, comment p9xw3qp) asked: Why the mana Golem? Wouldn't it be better a Fridge?[5]
  • Community Knowledge u/Uncommented-Code (2026-09-15, comment p9yift7) wrote: I fill store-o with golems because each is worth 3k+ runes and speeds up early to mid-game rune farming considerably, especially now with hacker bonuses that essentially allow to instnantly build things like lectern and fridge.[5]
  • Community Knowledge u/iburstabean (2026-09-15, comment pa07pbg) wrote: Like the other commenter said, it helps with rune farming[5]
  • Community Knowledge u/iburstabean (2026-09-15, comment pa07pbg) wrote in the same comment: Lots of mana regen![5]

Version-sensitive “3k+ runes” and the mention of hacker bonuses are one player’s statement; this page has not checked them.

What this page cannot tell you

  • It does not recommend a Store-O loadout. Everything above is what the wiki or individual players wrote, either about their own resets or as advice to others.
  • The 42 Reddit passages quoted above come from 20 comments and 3 posts by 16 authors and are dated 2026-08-05 to 2026-09-29. They are not independent votes, and the game may have changed since.
  • For what Store-O is, this page uses the wiki; the one exception in that section is the exchange about the Soul Grinder, which comes from a player thread. For which items players choose, it uses only the player quotes above.
  • Some comments are written for different situations (a first reset before level 100, resets around level 200). The footnote on each quote names its thread. The third-slot section and the Spirit section put quotes from several threads side by side.
