Farm RPG Jade & Gold Leaves: What Not to Craft Early

Player question: Should I craft jade or spend Gold Leaves on Fancy Swords early—or will that soft-lock quests?

I like these games and play them myself. Complete guides are hard to find online, so while playing I collect community experience from Reddit, add a little of my own notes, and put this site together—hoping it helps. Thank you.

Quick answer

Community Knowledge Do not craft jade early—unpolished jade is needed for multiple quests and is hard to replace. Do not casually craft Fancy Swords—they consume Gold Leaves that mid-game quests (players cite Distant Illusions needing on the order of 25,000+ Gold Leaves) will demand. Default: keep scarce mats unless the Library explicitly lists them as mass commodities.

Jade / unpolished jade

Community Knowledge u/StatSquared’s new-player checklist leads with: “Never craft jade (unpolished Jade is necessary for a few quests and definitely not easily acquired).”comment permalink.

Polishing or otherwise consuming raw jade for short-term crafts is the classic soft-lock: the regret posts show up after the quest gate appears, not before.

Gold Leaves & Fancy Swords

Community Knowledge Players who craft Fancy Swords while waiting on other boards report wiping large Gold Leaf stacks. The cautionary thread Fancy Sword Mistake (1ud1k14) is the community reference; replies there emphasize major mid-game quests (including Distant Illusions) that ask for huge Gold Leaf totals.

Version-sensitive Exact quest quantities can change—treat “25,000+” as community-reported magnitude, then confirm against the live quest log.
